June 4, 2007

Several days have gone by and it is time to reflect on the past few days. You continue to be alert and focused and eating for me in the afternoons. I came down early on Friday so I could spend some time with you and then left at 3 pm. Matt came down and spent the rest of the afternoon so I could leave to do some shopping. Marge comes at 6 pm to give you a massage which you thoroughly enjoy. I have her come every other week and it helps to relax your muscles and it is very soothing.

When I arrived on Saturday around noon you were very vocal and still in bed. I asked the nurse to call your aide to get you up in the chair, you don’t do well in bed for long periods of time. Especially because you are in bed by 6 at night and up every day during the week by 10. You were getting restless and uncomfortable, it was great hearing your voice. When they first got you in the chair you were agitated and restless but I spent some time with you and calmed you down and you were fine the rest of the day.

Melissa went on a business trip to New York on Friday that turned into a nightmare for her. When she got to NY her computer crashed and she left her cell phone in the limo. Was not much fun for her and now she has to deal with the help desk to get a new computer. She has very important data and reports she needs for her meeting today and only an hour or so in the morning for them to get her set up.

This week I have training on Thursday from 11-4, not sure if I will make it down. They are having a barbecue on Thursday from 6-7:30 so I may come after training. Friday, I have PC Richards coming to install a new air conditioner in the living room wall, I am hoping they come in the morning so I can come down to see you in the afternoon.

It is a busy time at home, we are getting to the end of all the construction and painting. The new windows are in the living room and dining room and the trim is complete. Now your cousin Anthony has to finish painting. John is coming to install the oak railings and the new runner on the steps. It is looking great and I can’t wait for it all to be done. This has all been going on since January when they remodeled the kitchen. The hardwood floors look awesome, what a difference.

Wish that you could come home to enjoy it with us! Next I will start tackling your room, there is so much that needs to be done that has been untouched in 5 years. I think it is time.
